Its been a while since I hosted a contest and so here is the new one...
This is going to be a bit different then the normal contests I host here for Splat!
Like a Silent Auction of sorts!
As many of my returning customers and friends know I am training for a 1/2 marathon for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.

It has been a wonderful adventure for sure and I am sure it will continue until I pass the finish line on May 18th!

In addition to the training I am fund raising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help find new cures... and I am almost finished with about 70% of my fund raising goal!

So here is my contest...
I will create 3 templates for the person that can help me raise the most money in the next week and a half.
The 3 can be seasonal, all different so you can pick and choose different looks whenever you want or you can pass them out to you and 2 other friends.
Take one for your self and do a giveaway on your site for the others...
Your options are endless!
This prize is worth close to if not a little more then $300.

What you will get...
3 templates including header designs, background designs, sidebar categories and a fun signature.
I will give the winner 15credits towards images at istockphoto... which can be split between the 3 sites or used how ever you prefer.

The ending date will be 11 days from today which is

April 25th

How do I do this... ???
To enter the CONTEST you must donate a minimum of $5 to my donation site.

You can either help fund raise by explaining about the race and how this money is going to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's or you can hook up with 2 other friends and all raise money for the 3 sites.
Add the donation site link to your blog post about this contest and make sure you post that if anyone donates in your name to add your site name in their donation, so we can keep tabs on the amount you have raised!

New Addition to Splat Designs!

I have always been the friend in my group of buds to make everyones birthday and Christmas cards! I have had some inspiring ideas form a girlfriend of mine and thought I would shoot this idea out to my customers!

I created a Christmas card for my friend... as seen below!

I would LOVE to create one for you!

Here is my game plan...

I plan on creating the cards and uploading them to Snapfish ( a photo developing site)
I will send you to the link to print off as many cards as you would like. No up charge will be added through Snapfish.
I can create the cards in 4 X 6 or 5 X 7 sizes to be printed.
You can print them and have them sent to you as soon as you would like.
Of course you will have to go purchase some envelopes to fit the card and these are pretty standard sizes so the envelopes are easy to find.

Since this is a new venture for me, all the first cards will be added to my portfolio.
I will give the first 10 people to contact me a "portfolio" discount.

Your price will be $25 for the design, if you would like to add special images besides a personal picture I will charge for the image if it is something I would need to purchase for you.

Then I will send you an image to approve and as soon as it is perfect I will upload it and send it to you via Snapfish. Then it is in your hands to print!

Hey everyone...
with all the horrible storms in Texas and my electricity going out all the time.. I have spent all my free time with customers and not on this site...
So, in saying that, it will be a little longer before I present the new look... nothing hugs, just switching to the new blogger since I have figured it out :-)

Catching up:
I have figured out the New Blogger Codes and can Make most templates (design work) in the new blogger program.
The sidebar images are separate and you can add them as you swish in the sidebars.
I am converting my free templates to this program and will have some news ones coming out soon.
(2 & 3 Column templates!)

I had the MOST fun creating this template! It was for my youngest customer! Her mom is one of my best friends sister-in-law.. she came to me with this idea of creating her daughter a blog to post things on and have a her personal site... instead of a my space account! I was 100% up for the challenge of making this blog FUN and unique!

This was a special template to make, because it was a gift to Flip Flop Mamma from a special (but secret) blogging friend! I LOVE the colors she picked out and that she wanted a "retro-ish" look... I think it is so FUN to look at!

Thank you for your interest in Splat Designs!

Pricing:

For a total Blog Makeover you will need a
Base Template and a Header.

Base Template: $50.00
Includes: custom colors, textures, sidebar category designs and a signature.

Header (with the purchase of a template):
Collage: $25.00
Illustration: Price of image plus $15 for design work.
Just a Title: $15.00 includes colors and textures.

Header (only)
Collage: $30.00
Illustration: Price of Image plus $20 for design work.

Background:
Design: Illustration backgrounds= price of image or $5 for a custom made design

Sidebar:
Add your information under categories and organize your sidebar= $10.00

After Approval Changes:
$10 fee may be charged for major changes after approval

** Average total for a FULL template makeover is $65 for illustration (plus price of illustration) or $75 for a collage**
These prices do not include payments for illustrations, backgrounds or sidebar clean-ups

FAQ’s

Q. How long will this process take?

A. After you have decided to go with Splat and have filled out your questionnaire (see below) and send it back to me, I will send you an estimate of timing and get started on the designing process. Timing differs depending on the amount of current customers. I will then send you a link to a test blog with your header image for approval. I will not go onto the next step without you approving your header, sine the rest of your template will be made to match your header. At that point you will write me back with changes, after the changes or your approval, I will work on getting your header perfect for you and then move on to complete the main body design. I will again send you a test blog link so you can see how it looks and give me your approval or changes… we will continue this process until it is finished. If you decide you want to change any part after the template is complete it will be a $10 fee for changes other then colors.

Q. How do I find my images for my header and/or background?

A. I recommend iStockphoto.com, to do a search go to the home page, in the drop down menu choose illustration/photographs and start browsing. When you find an image you love, please send me the id # and I will purchase the image and add that price to your bill ($ 1.50/credit)

Q. How do I send you images for a collage header?

A. I would prefer you upload them to a photobucket account (which we will be using to host your site images)and name them blog header image.

Q. When and how do I pay?

A. I would like a $15 deposit to start your blog, this should cover the cost of images and the remainder will be subtracted from your final bill. I will then send you a PayPal invoice after I have designed your template but before I add your personal information and add it to your blog. As soon as your payment is received I will add your links and personal information and apply it to your blog!

Q. Does a Splat Custom template use the Beta Blogger Widgets?

A. Yes, A custom Splat Template can be made to use the blogger widgets. I will create a custom header and background and add those to your template. I will also create sidebar categories to add to your sidebar. The sidebar categories will have to be added as a picture in your sidebar above the section it is titling. (for an example look at www.mysplatterpaintedlife.com)

I am currently perfecting my designs and understanding Dream Weaver for IE and Firefox set-ups.
